NATIONAL SIBLING DAY !!!

Siblings occupy a special place in our lives. We get to know our surroundings because of them and also learn about family relationships in the process. Siblings are the best part of our childhood. This day is celebrated mostly in the United States and Canada but is not federally recognized in many states of the US. Siblings Day Foundation is trying to bring a change so that Siblings Day becomes federally recognized as a holiday in the United States and Canada. The conceiver of this day was Claudia Evart who started this foundation to honor her brother and sister who died at an early age. The foundation was started 25 years ago in 1997 and gained non-profit status in 1999. Siblings Day is a day where brothers and sisters relive their familial bond and spend time with each other and enjoy the company by reliving tales from their past. So, how can we celebrate Siblings Day? India does celebrate two types of Siblings Day in Raksha Bandhan and Bhai Dooj which center around the brother-sister bond. Let’s elaborate on some of the ways in which we can celebrate Siblings Day together: 1. Celebrate the day by clicking photos of this special day with your brothers and sisters which you both can cherish after years as well. 2. Make the day even special by playing your favorite childhood games. 3. Indulge in some art and craft activities that keep you both busy and also keep it enjoyable at the same time. This will help you in strengthening your bond even further. 4. And lastly, both of you can surprise each other with gifts. Be sure to remember what your siblings like and then purchase a gift that will make them cherish it for longer.
